HHREC Institute on Human Rights

In partnership with the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center, WYA teen leaders have the opportunity to facilitate interactive workshops at the HHREC Institute on Human Rights at Iona University. Teens guide their peers through meaningful discussions on human rights topics, exploring powerful case studies and real-world applications. Workshops feature inspiring concepts like "Tikkun Olam" (repairing the world), being an upstander versus a bystander, and stories of courage that connect history to today's challenges. It's a chance for young people to step into leadership roles while empowering others to take action in their own communities.
