Symposium Dress Rehearsal
Workshop 6 is showtime practice! Participants run through their full presentations, refine their pitches, and make sure everything is ready for the Teen Changemaker Showcase Summit on April 25th.

Our Civic Engagement workshop series culminates in the Second Annual Westchester Changemaker Teen Summit, where you can show off your hard work and community projects to win a prize! No project? No worries! This dynamic one-day retreat will equip you with essential advocacy skills, help you identify your unique leadership style, and connect you with other passionate youth leaders!

Strategic Program Planning
Workshop 2 is all about turning passion into a plan! Building on their project groups from Workshop 1, participants learn how to write SMART goals and build logic models to map out how their community action projects will create real change.
Youth Justice Advocacy Day
This annual lobbying day brings teens together to meet directly with state legislators and advocate for policies that support young people—including increased funding for youth programs and an end to harmful legal practices that impact our communities.
Understanding Your Community & The Power of Advocacy
Workshop 1 kicks off the Teen Changemaker Civic Symposium! Participants explore the issues affecting their communities, dive into the fundamentals of advocacy, complete a problem tree activity to examine root causes, and form project groups based on shared interests.
Childhood Hunger Initiative Service Project
Students are invited to participate in the Childhood Hunger Initiative "Power Pack" (CHIPP) service project. Participants will package a supply of meals and snacks for students whose families are facing food insecurity.

Hosted through VolunteerNY, honor Dr. King's legacy by learning about local community needs and connecting with others, all while doing a hands-on volunteer project. Volunteers will cut and knot fleece to create warm and cozy scarves.
