Youth Advocacy day at NYS Capitol

WYA youth leaders represented our community at the New York State Youth Bureau's Annual Youth Leadership Forum in Albany. Over two days at the State Capitol, our teens participated in advocacy training sessions, met with key legislators including Assemblymembers Amanda Levenberg and Chris Burdick and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and networked with over 200 youth representatives from across New York State. The skills they developed—from public speaking to advocacy—will serve them well as they continue their leadership journeys!
