Join Westchester teens from across the county for an afternoon of hands-on community service! Her Essentials, a teen-led initiative, is bringing together young people to help combat hygiene poverty right here in Westchester County.
This grant-supported event by the Shennyo-Un Foundation will kick off with a short presentation on the realities of hygiene poverty and its impact on vulnerable populations locally. From there, participants will roll up their sleeves and get to work assembling approximately 300 hygiene kits — packed with essentials like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and menstrual products — for distribution to local organizations that serve communities in need.
Beyond the hands-on impact, this event is about building the next generation of community advocates — showing teens that their voices and actions can create real, lasting change.
Community service hours will be awarded to all participants upon completion.
Open to Westchester teens (grades 8–12). Come make an impact, one kit at a time.
