2025

Over two transformative weeks, our art activists discovered how to wield the camera as a tool for social change. Participants explored the rich legacy of legendary photographer Gordon Parks and traced photography's evolution from its earliest days to the digital age, learning how this powerful medium has shaped our understanding of the world. Theory became practice as participants channeled their newfound knowledge into meaningful projects addressing mental health awareness, the vital contributions of immigrants, and the urgent need for environmental protection. Through their lenses, they're not just capturing images—they're capturing hope for a better future. Many thanks to our partners at Sleepy Hollow High School, the Gordon Parks Foundation, and our funder, Arts Westchester!
